These pellets are awesome. They seem to be a take on the Federal Hydra-Shock pistol bullet only tweaked for air gun use. I live in a rural area with lots of ground squirrels and have chickens. The damn things just love their fed. They tend to run about twice the size of an average ground squirrel do to the fed. I have been shooting them on my property with everything from BBs to 22 CB caps for over 20 years now. These pellets are the best. The first one I shot was a very large male at around 20’. It was a broadside hit, just behind the shoulders about half way up. On impact the squirrel turned to bit at its side. At that point blood started pumping out of the wound reminiscent of a deer being hit in the chest with a 12 gauge slug. This was at a velocity of around 600 fps. I have never seen this kind of a result from even a 22 LR HP. I haven’t lost one yet with these pellets. I was using Crow-Magnums (a very good pellets), but they’ll only anchor squirrels with a head shot. After shooting the first squirrel with a Destroyer, I shot another sub-adult in the same spot with a Crow-Magnum. It was at around 25’. On impact the squirrel jumped into the air, landed, spun around and ran about 40’ before piling up. This is a normal result with all other pellets. It takes probably 8 or 10 seconds before lights out with a body shot, were with the Destroyers it’s less than 2 seconds. Try them you won’t be disappointed.
